“Giving students their own digital domain is a radical act. It gives them the ability to work on the Web and with the Web.”
-Audrey Watters, The Web We Need to Give Students
What is Knight Domains? Essentially, it’s a bit of space on the web on which you can create websites, wikis or anything else you can dream up. All art majors are required to have a domain by first semester of sophomore year.
–Student will gain agency and skill in learning how to create and manage their domains
–Students will use their domain to present requirements for sophomore review
–Students will use their domain to present proposal for Senior Art Exhibition
–Student will have a space to build a professional, advertising-free art and design website
Domains are provided by St. Norbert College, at no extra cost to students.
